Rez Question - Frustrated as hell
Question about Rezzes....a friend of mine and I play GW together all the time...
Problem is we're half way through a mission for example and I die (I'm the tank). A little while later and I die again.he lives...this time he has no rez (once per mission). I never pop up. I'm dead, hes alive...what do you do? Res doesnt refresh so unless he dies on purpose?! I dont get it |

The Rez Signet does actually recharge. However, you have to kill a boss (the ones with the aura) to make it recharge. In fact, all skills are instantly recharged when you kill a boss.
If you are consistently having troubles with not enough rezzes, you can "store" bosses on the path behind you by killing everything around the boss, but not the boss itself, and once you use the Rez Signet, go back and kill the boss to recharge the signet. This can be annoying sometimes, though. Alternatively, you could fill one of your 4/6/8 team slots with a primary or secondary monk, since they have access to a repeatable Rez spell. If you are still questing in Pre-Searing (and thus you don't have an extra slot), you shouldn't be dying that often in the first place. |

They recharge when you enter a new zone too, or enter a cutscene (I'm pretty sure about this, but not 100%).

ok so let me get this straight...I play a Warrior Monk and my friend plays a Necro/Ranger. We're on a mission and I die twice. He already used the res signet once so unless either he dies, we start the mission over, he makes a cleric and dumps his ranger, or we kill a boss.....I don't respawn?

As a monk you get res spell after hitting the searing head to where Mehenlo was in pre-searing (sanctuary, is that the name in post searing?). if you step out of the gates facing somewhat towards ascalon city (I dont have a map so I will get actual directions in a bit plus the correct name), head in a diagonal line to the right. You should see a monk defending a farmer from a bunch of Gawls. The monk will give you a couple of quests (one is escorting the farmer to ascalon) then on the third quest, he will give you the res spell. and its either looking for Paulus or (trying to avoid a spoiler here ;-)) going to see some one else. I'll come here later with better details as far as directions and place names. Edit: Ok a wee bit better explaination, head to sardelac sanitarium. While standing at the entrance without actually entering it, face south east. The NPC if I am not mistaken is the protection monk in Green Castle in pre-searing but don't hold me to it. So without adding additional members, those are the options...

Ressurect Quest
Any Monk Primary or Secondary can get the Ressurect Skill from a quest right after the Searing. You just have to do do the first Primary Quest, then you are free to do what you want. The guy who gives you the quest is a monk down in Old Ashford Abbey (South of Ascolon, slightly north-east of The Sarendelic Sanitarium). He will give you two quest and then after those two he'll give you a Third (Very Easy) Quest which give you Resurect and some other skill. Anyway the other two quest are fairly easy (A little time consuming) but they will give you some great new monk skills (Including Mending to help keep your Tanks alive ). Hope that helped.

I think a lot of people missed the detail. I'm a Warrior Monk. Hes a Necro Ranger. I'm the one who died twice so after he burns his res, thats when Im left sitting there twiddling my thumbs. I have the res spell (several actually)and if it was him who died twice it wouldn't be a problem, but in this case, the monk is the one lying on the ground
We don't like playing with henchmen or other players which is what led to my question. Given just the two of us and me (the monk dies) twice, where does that leave us... Looks like I got the answer. Last edited by Titus Deathbrynger; Jun 21, 2005 at 04:38 PM // 16:38.. |

I have a gut feeling his is probably talking about pre searing perhaps? Why is it only the 2 of them, he and his friend.
Unless you are farming, missions should bring a full party of minimum 4 members. At least get a monk henchman for unlimited res, or find an extra monk for mission to help heal and res. EDIT: Nvm, found out later he actually was playing mission. So thats it, end of mission. Either both of you get monk secondary for res, or get monk hench, or get another player in. 1 thing can be said for sure is, only beginning missions are easy to do with 2 people, later as you progress, party size allowed is 8 people, going in with 2 then is a sure one heck of a super challenge especially in later parts of the game. Wish you all the best though. Last edited by sojen; Jun 21, 2005 at 04:44 PM // 16:44.. |
